Following recent changes to departmental responsibilities, the functions of the former Department of Treaty, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Partnerships, Communities and the Arts are transitioning to new departments. Work is underway to update departments’ websites.

Many Voices: Queensland Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Languages Policy

The Queensland Government is committed to improved life outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Queenslanders.

Strong, supported and flourishing languages is a target socio-economic outcome under the National Agreement to Close the Gap.
