Multicultural Queensland Month (MQM) takes place in August each year. It’s a statewide initiative that celebrates the vibrant diversity of Queensland.
Join us in recognising the countless stories, traditions and contributions that shape our journey toward building a more inclusive Queensland—one where everyone feels valued and welcomed.
Queensland’s cultural diversity is one of our greatest assets—let’s celebrate the stories that connect us.
Get involved
Throughout the month everyone is welcome to take part – by sharing a story, learning through people’s experience, trying something new, attending an event or having a conversation with someone from a different background to your own.
The full program of events and ways to get involved will be available on the website soon.
In the meantime, take this opportunity to learn about the rich cultural diversity in Queensland, and how to take action towards a more inclusive multicultural Queensland.
